Delete your account
This page explains how to delete your ZepLink account and the data stored on our server. You can delete it yourself in the app, or email us if you no longer have the app or lost your phone.
1. Delete in the app (fastest)
- Open the ZepLink app and go to Settings.
- Open Account.
- At the bottom, tap Delete account (on iPhone, iPad, and Android).
- Confirm when asked, and your account is deleted right away.
Deletion can't be undone. It happens immediately, with no grace period.
2. Request deletion without the app
If you've already deleted the app or can't use your phone, email support@zeplink.app.
- Put “Account deletion request” in the subject line.
- Send it from the email address of the sign-in method you used (Apple or Google). We use this address to confirm it's you. If you write from a different address, we may ask one more question to confirm.
-
If you used Hide My Email with Sign in with Apple, send it from the
@privaterelay.appleid.comaddress you were given.
We handle requests within 5 business days and reply to the same address with the result.
3. What gets deleted
When you delete your account, our server deletes all of the following at once:
- Your account and all sign-in information
- All registered phones and PCs
- All pairing, invite, and Play Together participation records
- All connection records for the account
- Push notification tokens
After deletion, each of your PCs is also told to disconnect. If your account used Sign in with Apple, we also ask Apple to revoke the sign-in link.
4. Cancel your store subscription separately
🔴 Deleting your account doesn't cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Subscriptions are managed by the store, and we can't cancel them for you. If you don't cancel, you'll keep being charged. Cancel it as shown below before you delete your account.
- Android — Google Play app → your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → ZepLink → Cancel subscription
- iPhone · iPad — Settings → your name → Subscriptions → ZepLink → Cancel Subscription
5. What's kept
| What | Why it's kept · for how long |
|---|---|
| Daily totals that can't identify anyone | These numbers can't be traced back to a person, so they aren't personal data and aren't deleted |
| Records the law requires us to keep | Kept only for the period the law sets, then destroyed |
| Settings stored only on your phone | These were never uploaded to our server. They're removed when you delete the app |
| Records of phones and PCs not linked to an account (devices used without signing in, or signed out) | Deleting your account doesn't remove these. If that phone or PC doesn't connect to our server for a year, its records are deleted automatically. To delete them sooner, sign in on that phone and delete your account, or email us as described in section 2 (without an account, we may ask for details such as the name of the PC you connected to) |
For the full list and how long each item is kept, see section 2 and section 3 of our Privacy Policy.
